529 Education Savings Plan Can Help With St. Serra Tuition
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 allows families to withdraw up to $10,000 tax-free from their 529 savings plan to pay for private school tuition. These educational savings plans were traditionally used by families to invest and save for their children’s college tuition. This new law, which became effective January 1, 2018, opens up this tax benefit to families for K-12 private school tuition. We encourage all St. Serra families to check with their tax professional or financial adviser for more information about this new law.

Our dynamic St. Serra community thrives on our parents’ time, talent, and treasure. Families with at least one student in grades TK through 8 are required to perform forty (40) hours of volunteer service per school year; preschool families’ required volunteer hours is based on the program in which your [oldest] child is enrolled. There are a multitude of volunteer opportunities which meet this requirement and allow you to get involved in our wonderful school community. Each family is responsible for recording their service hours online via the FACTS SIS system.
