Discipleship in Action Program

  • Recognizes students living out their faith as disciples of Christ.
  • Recognized students are entered into a monthly drawing for a relaxed dress pass.
  • Celebrated during Monday morning assemblies with school-wide prayer, pledge to the Cross, and acknowledgment of student discipleship.

Saint Families

  • Groups include one student per grade and an advisory teacher.
  • Monthly meetings focus on learning about saints, faith traditions, service projects, and religious education.
  • Lessons are supported by the ARK program for spiritual development.

Faith-Based Gatherings & Activities

  • Weekly Mass attendance with student participation as lectors, cantors, altar servers.
  • Daily prayers, feast day celebrations, Living Rosary, Stations of the Cross, and seasonal events like May Crowning and Christmas Program.
  • Special liturgical celebrations such as the Blessing of the Animals and Mother’s Day Prayer Service.

Spiritual Growth & Sacramental Preparation

  • Students prepare for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion over a two-year period beginning in 1st grade.
  • Additional sacrament preparation workshops are provided through the parish.
  • Reconciliation opportunities during Advent and Lent.
  • Ongoing participation in the Eucharist at weekly/daily Mass.

Retreats & Youth Ministry

  • Middle school students attend retreats in partnership with Mater Dei.
  • SSJ Youth Ministry offers a faith-filled lunch space for students in the youth room throughout the month.

Annual School Theme

  • Each year features a Bible verse and song that unites the community at Masses and events.

Christian Service Projects

  • School-wide efforts to serve others and grow in compassion.
  • Past beneficiaries include:
    • St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
    • CHOC, Hope for Haiti, St. Vincent de Paul Society
    • Operation Gratitude, Wounded Warriors, local homeless and convalescent care programs
    • Prayer walks and global outreach (e.g., Operation Rice Bowl)
