Saints Simon & Jude Catholic School is committed to ensuring that all students who are ready and eligible to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion have the opportunity to do so. Embedded into the faith journey at our school, specific preparation to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion is part of a two year journey, beginning in first grade. In conjunction with the parish, children who are eligible to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion must also attend sacrament preparation workshops (dates to be determined by parish staff) outside of the normal school hours.
Saints Simon & Jude Catholic School provides students who have already received the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion the opportunity to receive the Eucharist weekly at a daily Mass and monthly, at the student body Mass. Additionally, during the Advent and Lenten season, students are given the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, as encouraged by the Church.
